GAY
STRICKLIN

GRANTS WRITER

Gay Stricklin began her career as a youth minister in the Episcopal Diocese of Texas in 1992 and became the Diocesan Youth Coordinator in 1995, cementing her lifelong commitment to children, youth, and families. In 2001, Gay shifted her focus to work with a local parish whose outreach ministries aligned with this same commitment and worked in the areas of children and families, as well as hospitality and homelessness. She became a certified teacher in 2011 and has been teaching in Pearland ISD for 13 years. She is currently teaching 9th Grade PreAP English. Her work with all of these organizations offered a glimpse into the work of fundraising and grant writing, and she successfully earned multiple grants for her school over the last 6 years.

Gay joined Trevino Consulting Group in 2023 and contributes strong research, writing, and interpersonal skills, and works to ensure that clients are confident and comfortable with their grant plans and proposals. She has broad experience in writing, editing, presenting, group dynamics, and public speaking.
